This martial arts fantasy action film follows a washed-up mixed martial arts fighter named Cole Young, who is unaware of his hidden lineage or why he is being hunted down by the deadly villain called Sub-Zero of the Lin-Kuei clan of assassins. Concerned for the safety of his family, he seeks out a clique of fighters with unique powers that were chosen to defend Earthrealm in a high-stakes battle against the forces of Outworld.

Sooryavanshi is an action film directed by Rohit Shetty, with writing by Farhad Samji, Sanchit Bendre, Vidhi Ghodgadnkar and Yunus Sajawal based on an original story by Shetty. The film is the fourth installment of Shetty’s Cop Universe and stars Akshay Kumar as Anti-Terrorism Squad chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi opposite Katrina Kaif with supporting cast of Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Vivan Bhatena, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Javed Jaffrey. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo appearances reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise’s previous films.
The film starts off from where Akshay Kumar’s character was introduced towards the end of Simmba that served as a character introduction of Sooryanvanshi. The story traces the acts and serious antics of DCP Veer Sooryavanshi, the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad in India. He and his team join forces with Inspector Sangram Bhalerao and DCP Bajirao Singham to stop a terrorist batch planning to attack Mumbai.

Kabir Kapoor (Kunaal Kapoor) is a famous author and a YouTuber by the day and the savior of the world by the night. He disguises himself to help those in trouble and stop the crimes. But his own life is in a mess. His ex-wife (Vidya Malvade), who was cheating on him, is now out to sue him. She now wants his sprawling bungalow in Panchgini, which is also the labyrinth of Kabir’s deep dark secrets.
She even hires a cunning detective cum reporter Ricky Rosario (Karim Hajee) to blackmail Kabir. Amidst all of this, a mysterious backpacker Suhana (Amyra Dastur), literally drops into Kabir’s life. This chance meeting promptly develops into love, but suddenly, a spate of murders rock the sleepy hill station and their lives, as Kabir becomes the main suspect.
