Everyone on this planet loves to travel. So How will be The future of traveling ?

While the people who are better off financially would travel far and wide, people with lesser incomes would usually travel to more affordable destinations.

Traveling is the only way in which one can learn more about the world and open their minds to greater possibilities.

Thousands of people earn their living through the traveling industry. These include airlines, hotels, tourist guides, taxi drivers, transportation workers, and a wide array of other people.

The travel industry, at the present moment, is in a slump due to the novel Coronavirus pandemic.

A report further mentions “The pandemic has already destroyed 100 million jobs in the industry and will destroy even more jobs in the future”.

“Most tourists now are visiting the world-famous museums of South Korea and France virtually and not physically,” says a report by BuzzFeed.

Though the tourism industry right now is in a slump after the world recovers from the virus completely, the industry will see a rise.

“The pandemic however has not been able to destroy the desire of people wanting to see the world,” says a report by The New York Times.

A survey conducted by Skift research mentions that “1/3rd of the total US population says that they hope to travel across the world within the next three months post the pandemic”.

“The pandemic will fade slowly but will leave a large number of after-effects, most of them being psychological,” says Frank Farley, former president, American Psychological Association.

Most airports will undergo major changes including health screenings, change in space-per-passenger ratios, and redesigning of passenger flow in the world post-COVID-19.

The Luiz Munoz Marin International Airport in Puerto Rico has already taken a lead in the same.

How Will be The Future of Traveling ?

Another change in the aviation industry might witness is the rise of secondary airports. Most international flights to smaller destinations usually go via stopovers from major hubs.

Projections say that one will be able to take direct flights to these smaller destinations by 2040. For instance- A direct flight from Sheffield to Varanasi might soon be a reality.

In many countries, people preferred homestays over hotels. Because the former was cheaper over the latter they chose it. However, there is a prediction that people would go for the hotels no matter what. The cost would be high as hotels are more hygienic and better sanitized than homestays.

The homestays, if they wish to be in the business, need to adopt strategies for making their customers realize that they too are equally sanitized and hygienic as the hotels.

According to another survey, most people would prefer going to places which are not “crowded”. Then how will be The future of traveling ?

What this would imply is that some of the most popular destinations such as Venice, The UK, Spain, and Indonesia might lose their charm, and destinations which usually took a second place in the list of people might take the first place.

Things such as unmanned vehicles, which may be science fiction right now, might soon become reality.

Shortly, it would not be an uncommon sight to see these vehicles taking over the streets.

The future of traveling industry surely is going to witness major changes but one thing that will remain after the pandemic is the desire of the people to travel.
