As we all know, Joker is one of the darkest supervillains in all of the DC Universe. He is a ruthless manic who does all crimes in a brazen way. He has a wide smile on his face. The main story involves Joker. He quitting his job as a lab assistant and becoming a stand-up comedian to support his pregnant wife. When the result is unsuccessful,
he agrees to help mobsters with a robbery.
The heist goes sideways. And, to escape from Batman, the Joker falls into a vat of chemical waste to hide from Batman. There is even a theory about joker’s pregnant wife abduction by the mobsters. The heist going south and then her murder by the very mobsters, which drives insane. The buzz says that in all of the DC Universe, Joker has the highest IQ.
There are many stories about how he got this look. But, the most common story involves him falling into a tank of chemical waste. He then bleaches his skin white, turning his hair green and lips bright red. However, watching the recent movie ‘Joker’ starring ‘Joaquin Phoenix’, one articulates the reason behind his insanity was the poor and unfair treatment by society. Joker is the antithesis of Batman and the most ideal nemesis of Batman, not just by critics, but by
everyone.
On a closer look, one can figure out that there are hardly a few things certain about the Joker. He doesn’t reveal how he got the smiling scars on his face, rather tells different versions to different people leading to the scars on his face. There are several discussions regarding a brawl between Batman and Joker in which Batman broke Joker’s jaw. This is why he is shown to laugh with his mouth concealed by his hand in the movie ‘Suicide Squad’. Whatever the reason behind such attire and behavior of the Joker may be, one thing is for sure, he is the most loved villain among all others.
The reason why people are so fond of him even though he is an evil character is because of his ideology and his way of getting things done. The kind of work he does attracts the pessimistic society, not just in one country, but globally. Before answering if he would ever change or not, we must counter question ourselves if we want the supervillain to change. He is the only person that actually keeps Batman truly busy in Gotham City and makes him work harder and faster than ever before.
But, what if he changes? Well then, the answer is simple.
The mob would be left without a leader and at this time, Penguin, Two-face, Riddler, Ra’s Al Ghul or Maroni might take-over the throne. Commissioner Gordon won’t have a hard time catching criminals and tossing them behind bars. All that explosive and ammunition would go unused and the Joker would actually work on validation in the very same society.
However, all of this stays and hopefully will stay hypothetical forever. Deep down we all know he is the most perfect villain there is or will ever be. The point of Gotham being a safer place isn’t even worth discussing because even though the he would be gone, there would be still villains like ‘Penguin and Ra’s Al Ghul’ ready to take on Batman and Gotham City.

Talking about the Joker, he had a lover ‘Harley Quinn’ whom he met in a mental asylum during his treatment as shown in the ‘Suicide Squad’. She fell for him and helped him escape the asylum. Later, they both started pestering Batman together
and taking over Gotham gradually. But, according to the recent movie ‘Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn’, she is shown to have separated from the Joker and then joining another team.
He has featured in many comics, shows, and movies. But, the most prominent movies involve “Batman (1989), The Dark Knight (2008), Suicide Squad (2016), The Lego Batman Movie (2017), and Joker (2019).”
