Finally, by the grace of god and HBO Max, Friends Reunion is happening, and we can’t keep calm! Well, no one did tell us that our current life situation would turn out this way. Neither we were expecting the day or week nor month, not even the year to be spectacular. Even after all of this, there was someone that upheld the commitment of being there for us— our “F.R.I.E.N.D.S.”
In a special episode, the original crew/staff and actors will reassemble to revisit the set of “F.R.I.E.N.D.S,” where they will reminisce the decade-old tale of friends trying to live their lives. The cast will also go through their scripts and enact some iconic scenes that made the show an all-time favorite among the public.

THE ONE THAT BRINGS ALL TOGETHER
The unscripted Friends Reunion episode titled— “The One Where They Get Back Together” or “Friends Reunion” got announced way back on November 12, 2019. But the filing got delayed twice due to the Covid pandemic. The filming of this episode must be a nostalgic ride as it got filmed on stage 24, often referred to as “The Friends Stage.” This stage has been the home to all filming of the episode ever since season 2.
The episode brings back Kevin S. Bright, Marta Kauffman, David Crane, and the main cast as executive producers, while Ben Winston will direct and produce the show.
THE ONE WHERE YOU WONDER WHAT TO EXPECT
True, we are not getting the season out of the Friends Reunion, but we are happy to see them gather one more time. The cast— Jennifer Aniston(Rachel), David Schwimmer(Ross), Courteney Cox(Monica), Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc(Joey) will visit the filming set of F.R.I.E.N.D.S including the apartment, Central Perk coffee shop, and the water fountain. Also, they will sit around and do the script reading of selective episodes.
James Corden, the well-known late-night talk show host(The Late Late Show with James Corden,) will be hosting the cast and catch up with them to give the inside scoop of the sitcom and their bonding. Many of you even know that Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox, and Jennifer Aniston are very close friends to this date.
THE ONE WHERE THEY PLAY TRIVIA
Apart from the discussions, our Ross(David) will be the quizmaster for the Trivia game, just like when Monica and Rachel competed with Joey and Chandler for the apartment. But there are no high-stakes here as David will conduct a trivia about the 10 seasons of FRIENDS. Easy!
THE ONE WITH THE GUEST CAST
But hey, what is the fun when you can’t see your favorite guest appearances on the original sitcom appear on Friends Reunion? Right?
So, here’s the good news— the guest cast will also be participating in the session with names including Maggie Wheeler (Janice), James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Elliott Gould and Christina Pickles (Jack and Judy Geller). The guest cast will also include Larry Hankin (annoying Mr. Heckles), Thomas Lennon (Joey’s hand-twin), Tom Selleck (Richard Burke), and Reese Witherspoon (Jill Green).
THE ONE WITH THE STAR GUESTS
This episode is going to be a one-of-a-kind joyride as it’s going to pack a load full of star guests to join the Friends Reunion. Apart from the classic guest cast, these celebrities will add on as the appearing guests on the show— Justin Bieber, BTS, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, David Beckham, Malala Yousafzai, and Mindy Kaling.
Hold on to witness the epicness of Friends Reunion, streaming on HBO Max on May 27, 2021. However, the bummer is that HBO Max is not available in India. Hopefully, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video may release Friends The Reunion as one has streaming rights of FRIENDS, while the latter for streaming Warner Bros movies.
